Sunshine Capital (햇빛 개피탈 Haetbit Kaepital?) is a clandestine organization operating from a nondescript office building in Seoul, South Korea. It is led by Kim Jeong-rae, who led its employees and related parties in assisting Seong Gi-hun's quest to shut down the Squid Games.
History[]
The organization oversaw affairs such as money lending and possibly organ harvesting, and many of its employees operated as Loan sharks. In the early 2020s, their business saw a heavy slump, as many of the people who owed money to them mysteriously disappeared.
When Gi-hun hired Mr. Kim to help him search for The Recruiter, he enlisted the aid of all his employees to search Seoul's entire subway system. This continued for years without fruition, despite being greatly expanded during the summer of 2024, until Mr. Kim and his right-hand man Choi Woo-seok encountered the man recruiting a player into the games.
Hwang Jun-ho later tracked down Gi-hun's rental car to Sunshine Capital and broke in through a second-floor window. He hid when an employee came in, talking on the phone about his boss's disappearance, and grabbed several guns out of a desk drawer. He continued investigating after the man left, and was able to find business registration documents leading to Gi-hun's business front.

The room where the search participants met
Sunshine Capital is located in a nondescript office building in Seoul. On the third floor (second floor using European numbering) is a large room where the employees gathered before starting their expanded search for the Recruiter. Mr. Kim and Woo-seok used a mannequin resembling the Recruiter to describe his appearance and behavior, as well as a large Seoul Subway map to plan the search. The drawers in the room contain firearms, as well as a folder containing various documents for their client Gi-hun.
Parked outside the building are several vans, which the employees used to conduct their search for The Recruiter.
