South Korea, officially the Republic of Korea is a country in East Asia that constitutes the southern half of the Korean Peninsula. It is the location where Squid Game takes place. Its capital is Seoul, where many of the characters in the show live. It borders North Korea, officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to its north, and across the Sea of Japan is where Japan is.
