Sim Jae-seok (심재석 Sim Jae-seog?), also known as Player 343, was a contestant of the Squid Game in 2024.
History[]
Sim Jae-seok was ₩2.89 billion in debt. He decided to enter the Squid Games in order to win money to pay his debt off.
He managed to survive Red Light, Green Light as well as the Six-Legged Pentathlon, where he played Spinning Top. After the second game, he was upset at the final prize money amount. He believed that the amount of money accumulated from the two games was not enough, Because of this, He voted to continue the games.

Sim Jae-seok to Hwang In-ho and Park Jung-bae when the first tells him to get out in "O X"
Jae-seok succeeds in making it to the fifth round of the third game, Mingle. When it's announced that 2 players are needed per room Jae-seok decides to join Player 285. Jae-seok and 285 run to Room 33, Jae-seok manages to enter the room but Hwang In-ho (Player 001) grabs 285 and tells Park Jung-bae (Player 390) to enter the room while he throws 285 to the floor. Upon entering, Jung-bae discovers that Jae-seok is inside the room, In-ho enters the room, sees Jae-seok and tells him to get out but Jae-seok declares that he and 285 arrived first. In-ho grabs Jae-seok, pulls him into a corner and begins to strangle him, while Jung-bae keeps the door closed to leave 285 outside. With 2 seconds left, In-ho mercilessly breaks Jae-seok's neck to make it that there're only 2 players in the room. Jung-bae is horrified to see In-ho commit such an atrocity.

- Jae-seok died in the same room Players 238, 050 and 313 died in when they had too few players as you can see the 3 players blood stains on the walls and they match to when the 3 players were shot.
