Captain Ko hoping Captain Park will stay safe in "One More Game"
Sea Captain Ko is a man working for the games who disguised himself as a boat captain and fisherman to "assist" the team of mercenaries sent to find Seong Gi-hun after his reentry into the games.
History[]
There is practically no information on Ko prior to him joining the search team. He was likely a Manager, as Captain Park was too.
Ko is recruited as the leader of Team 2 in the group led by Hwang Jun-ho which try to find where the Squid Games are located. Captain Ko (commanding a boat known as New World) appears to have known Captain Park for quite a while and is a good friend of his, Park describes Ko as a local that knows the area around the Squid Game Island "inside out". There's not much focus on Team 2 during the series so we don't exactly know what happens on his boat.
During Choi Woo-seok's investigation of Captain Park he discovers that his claim of Ko being a local was false as nobody in the area was even familiar with his name. Eventually Woo-seok is arrested by the police who inform Park that he broke into his house. Park now realises that they've been exposed and he radios Ko, telling him they need to kill everyone on both boats. Ko's attack (while offscreen) was successful and he presumably took out all the mercenaries on Boat 2. Once he is done he goes back to the radio and tries to communicate with Park, but gets no response since Park was killed by Jun-ho. Realising what has happened he contacts The Frontman and informs him of the situation. That is the last which is seen of Ko, and his current status is unknown.
