Player 418 is a contestant of the Squid Game in 2024.
History[]
Player 418 was a Thanos fan before getting into the games and probably went to all or some of the Thanos concerts.
Player 418 signed his consent form and took a photo, and along with 364 other contestants, made it past the first game. During the vote on whether to discontinue or continue the game, he voted to discontinue the games.
After the players were told to form teams of five for the second game, he teamed up with four other players. He and his team completed all five mini-games within the five minute time-limit. After all of the teams had either completed or failed to complete the second game, it was announced that the prize money had only marginally increased due to the relatively low number of deaths in that game. In the second round of voting, Player 418 appeared to have changed his mind as he voted to continue the games instead.
For the third game, he and the players were led to an arena with a spinning platform in the centre. When the players were told to form groups of ten for the first round, he grouped up with four other players, including Players 050 and 419. Although the team initially asked to join with Gi-hun, they were dragged away by another team of five, led by Player 313. For the second round, the players were told to get into groups of four. Player 418 survived this round, and was seen emerging from a room after. He then changed his vote from X to O.
For the third round, the players were told to get into groups of three. 418 and two other players, including Player 249, were seen being pushed out of a room by Player 073. 418 survived the round and was seen leaving a room relieved after. He survived all rounds of Mingle.
After surviving Mingle, a third round of voting was held. Player 418 again voted to continue the games again. As the vote resulted in a tie, another round of voting was to begin in the morning after. However, in a fight in the bathroom which he participated in, two "X" voters died while three "O" voters died, leaving the "O" voters in the minority. Player 418 then participated in an attack on the "X" voters in the night, led by Nam-gyu. This led to the deaths of a significant number of "O" voters. However, Seong Gi-hun staged a rebellion as soon as the guards arrived to stop the attack. When Gi-hun asked for players to join the rebellion, 418 stood still around Im Jeong-dae. He watched as Kang Dae-ho arrived for ammunition.

Behind the scenes[]
Player 418 is portrayed by Lee Sang-jin. He is, however, not credited directly for the player he played, and instead listed as one of the backup men.
