Player 410 was a contestant who participated in the 33rd Squid Game in 2020, being eliminated in the third game of the competition. He appears in the Season One episodes "Red Light, Green Light", "Stick to the Team", and "A Fair World".
History[]
Player 410 is deeply in debt and sees the high-stakes competition as a last chance to win a life-changing amount of money. Like many others in the game, he is driven by desperation to escape his financial burdens. After being recruited, he wakes up in a large, unfamiliar room with 455 other players. This disorienting experience sets the stage for the tension and fear that permeates the competition. Upon arrival, he witnesses a confrontation between two other players, Jang Deok-su and Kang Sae-byeok. This fight highlights the underlying tensions and desperation among participants, showcasing the hostile environment of the game. He signs a contract agreeing to the rules of the game and poses for a photo, officially entering the first game called Red Light, Green Light. Despite the initial chaos that ensued after the first game's rules were revealed, including the shocking deaths of Player 324 and Player 250, Player 410 managed to keep his composure. He ran strategically, making it to the finish line and successfully passing through the game as many contestants were eliminated around him.
Following the game, Player 410 was deeply affected by the loss of fellow contestants, grappling with the weight of their deaths. When a vote was held to decide whether to continue the games, the staff voted to discontinue the games, leading to their temporary return home. After returning to his hometown, Player 410 found it hard to adjust to life outside the competition. When the opportunity to re-enter the games arose, he chose to return, motivated by the hope of winning the grand prize. Player 410 exhibited adaptability and resourcefulness in the second game, Sugar Honeycombs, where he managed to survive the intricate challenges, showcasing his determination to outlast the competition.
he managed to survive the chaotic and brutal Special Game that occurred between the second and third official games, a dangerous fight for survival that took place outside the structured competition. This showed his ability to endure and stay alive under extreme pressure.
For the third game, Player 410 made a strategic decision to join Player 194's team, which consisted entirely of men. Likely thinking that brute strength would give them an advantage, they initially seemed like a powerful group ready to face whatever challenge lay ahead. However, the game revealed to be Tug of War, a contest that required not only physical strength but also mental strategy, coordination, and teamwork.
Death[]
During Tug of War, Player 410 was part of Team Five, which consisted entirely of men. His team faced off against Team 4, the team that included Seong Gi-hun. They were the second teams to compete in the game. Initially, Team 4, though weaker in appearance, managed to gain an advantage using the strategic advice from Oh Il-nam. Team 5 struggled as Team 4 nearly won the match. However, Player 194 was able to rally Team Five, giving them enough strength to begin overpowering Team 4. Just as Team 5 was on the verge of pulling Team 4 off the platform, Cho Sang-woo's quick thinking led to a last-minute plan of stepping forward. This move caused Player 194 and the rest of Team 5 including Player 410 to lose balance and fall. Unable to recover, Player 194 and his entire team were pulled off the platform, plunging to their deaths.
