Player 331 was a contestant of the 33rd Squid Game.
History[]
Player 331 was in heavy debt and so decided to enter the 33rd Squid Game. After waking up in the dormitory with 455 other players, he was welcomed formally by a Manager. He then signed a consent form and took his photo, like all other 455 players. Player 331 managed to survive Red Light, Green Light, where most of the other contestants were wiped out. Afterwards like everyone else, he was shaken by the deaths of the players. It is unknown what he voted, but during the voting, when the games were terminated by just 1 player and everyone was sent home, those who wanted to return could, and so he returned alongside 186 other people. In Sugar Honeycombs, Player 331 chose the star for his dalgona shape, and he managed to pass his star shape without any major breaks, alongside 107 other players.
Death[]
During the Special Game, Player 331 tried to save Kang Sae-byeok from Jang Deok-su. In the intense confrontation, Deok-su does end up killing Player 331 after a struggle and him being angered. This moment highlights the brutal nature of the competition and the lengths to which players will go to survive. Player 331 died alongside 26 others.
Trivia[]
- Player 331 is similar to the 2024 Squid Game counterpart. Both were men, both briefly overpowered an antagonist, and both were soon overpowered by the antagonist and stabbed to death.
Mistakes[]
- Player 331's icon in the Squid Game control room vanished during the initial chaos of Red Light, Green Light, signaling his death. This is a mistake, as he was shown alive much later in the games.
- During the meal, Player 331 was portrayed by another man.
- In Red Light, Green Light, Player 331 was portrayed by a female.
