Player 119 was a contestant of the 37th Squid Game.
Appearance[]
Player 119 is a woman in her late 20s to early 30s with long black center parted hair shown in a low ponytail most of the time, high ponytail after mingle, and completely loose before Pentathlon.
Personality[]
Player 119 appears to be a greedy, yet still partially loyal person as she consistently voted O in every vote and remained close to Player 310 and Player 116 throughout the games, especially in Mingle. She also appears not to give into pressure as Player 394 wanted to trade teams with her for Hide and Seek but she refused, this also highlights her willingness to kill in order to survive, however she is shown to be very afraid when entering Hide and Seek with a terrified expression and looking around constantly. Whilst she has strengths she is also shown to be quite rude and aggressive with her joining in the argument against the X’s raising her hand and shouting. Additionally, she is heard to be one of the loudest people laughing at the X’s. However, she does not attack any of Team X during the Special Game and opts to hide with Player 310 instead. Also, she shows her support for teams during the Six-Legged Pentathlon making anxious facial expressions and cheering whenever a mini game was passed. But in the third vote, she does not seem to show any sadness at her teammates deaths, possibly due to her becoming desensitized to the amount of death so far, cheering and appearing happy when 009 votes O, showing that she does not care too much for the other Players. Furthermore, she quickly listened to Gi-Hun in Red Light, Green Light and hid behind other players in order to not get detected showcasing her adaptability and ability to listen. After Red Light, Green Light she is shown begging to be released but is quickly persuaded by the amount of Prize money seen in the Piggy bank.
History[]
Just like most of the other players, Player 119 was in significant debt. Because of this, she was approached by the Recruiter before playing at least one game of Ddakji with him, where he gave her a card with a number on it which she could call if she at the time would've wanted to compete in other children games such as Ddakji for an even larger cash reward. She listened to the instructions the man gave her, and called the number leading to her beng recruited into the Squid Games as a quick way to settle her financial problems. After waking up in the dormitory with 454 other strangers.
Before the beginning of Red Light, Green Light she was very close to Player 310, and were both shocked as they heard several players, including Im Jeong-dae's debt as the Manager was explaining the motives behind the games. After this, she signed the player consent form and headed to the game hall before she took her picture.
In Red Light, Green Light, Player 119 listened to Seong Gi-hun's warnings to the other players before the game started, appearing confused. After the game started, she followed Gi-hun's orders of staying still. During the chaos, she ran away along with several other players, but luckily, she wasn't detected most likely because Young-hee's eyes were focused on tracking the motion of many other players during the panic, and she managed to stop in time. Later in the game, she was able to make it past all of the red lights and survived by crossing the red line before the time ran out. She stuck close with Player 310, with them being together at the finish line. After surviving the first game, she was one of the players who was begging for her life to the guards to let her and the other 364 players leave before looking at the Prize money. Afterwards in the voting, despite the dangerous circumstances of the game, she voted "O" to continue the games most likely due to her potentially high amount of debt.
During the second game, Player 119 wanders around with Player 310, and both are able to find their partners for the the Six-Legged Pentathlon; though, both were on different teams. She teamed up with Player 164, Player 179, Player 187, and Player 346. When Seon-nyeo shouts at Cho Hyun-ju and her teammates, Player 119 could be seen looking back at her dumbfounded with her team, then going back to talking with her partners. She played Ddakji for her team, and all of them managed to complete the minigames off-screen. In the voting, she voted to continue the games for a second time.
In the first round of Mingle she teamed up with Player 310, Player 116 and seven unknown players. In the second round she was separated whilst going back to the carousel, however she soon made her way over to Player 310, Player 131 and Player 116. Despite them having four players Player 131 left them for Player 042’s group resulting in Player 116 dragging her and 310 to find another player. As he put his hand up another unknown player reached them and they ran to a room. In the third round of Mingle she was standing on the platform on the right of Player 310, when the number three was called her ,310 and 116 quickly teamed up and ran to a room. In the fourth round she is seen exiting room 42 with Player 405, Player 310, Player 344, Player 370 and Player 376.In the fifth round she was next to 116 and 310 on the carousel but went with Player 376 securing her survival in Mingle despite the difficulty and horror of the game. She voted to continue the games again later on in the voting after the game.
After the bathroom fight incident, the players on the opposing teams formed headcounts to see how many players died. Due to the "X" team having the advantage, the "O" members planned an attack to kill the "X" members during the night. During the night, or Lights Out, Player 119 most likely hid, along with Player 310 and chose not to attack like most of the members on the "O" team. Because of this, she was able to survive and is seen standing next to Player 310 while Gi-hun starts to form the rebellion.
During the re-vote, Player 119 remained voting "O" to stay in the alliance. In Hide and Seek, she drew a red ball meaning she was going to be a seeker. Player 394 tried to switch teams with her, but she refused and stayed on the red team.
Fate[]
