Player 098 was a contestant who participated the 33rd Squid Game in 2020.
History[]
Player 098 was in heavy debt and chose to enter a high-risk competition to win money. After waking up in a large room with 455 other people, he signed a contract and took his photo. He managed to survive the first game, Red Light, Green Light, after most of the contestants had been wiped out. Afterwards, like everyone else, he was shaken by the deaths of the contestants, when the prize money was finally revealed. A vote was held if the game should continue, and the majority voted no. However, those who were willing to return could, and he returned along with 186 other players. Although, unfortunately, Player 098 accidentally broke his star and died after getting shot.
Death[]
In Sugar Honeycombs, participants were tasked with carefully cutting out specific shapes from fragile honeycomb candy. Player 098 selected the star shape, one of the more difficult designs. The goal was to remove the shape without breaking the honeycomb, a task that required extreme precision and patience. As Player 098 worked on his honeycomb, the delicate material cracked under the pressure, breaking the shape. The strict rules of the game dictated that any player who failed to extract the shape intact would be immediately eliminated. Upon breaking his dalgona, Player 098 realized the severity of his mistake. Within moments, a soldier approached and swiftly carried out the punishment, shooting him on the spot.
