Player 024 was a contestant of the 37^th Squid Game.

Personality

Player 024 just like Player 418 is a greedy, violent and psychotic man, who was willing to kill just for financial gain. Even though he voted X in the first vote, he is still greedy and sadistic as he literally participated in the Special Game and violently stabbed Player 370 with a fork. This just shows he is a sadistic and ruthless person.

History

Player 024 was in massive debt and decided to join The Squid Games for a chance to win a huge cash prize. He called the number on the recruiting card, and got into a mysterious car. He then woke up in a giant room with 454 other players. He then made his way to the center of the room and watched as many other players debts were revealed in front of him. Later on, he signed a contract and made his way up a flight of stairs to the first game.

During the first game, he was soon terrified as players were shot in front of him during the mass panic. He was able to control himself and stand still. He eventually completed the first game after listening to Gi-hun's commands. After returning to the dormitory, many players pleaded the guards to let them go. However, The guards instead showed everyone the massive increase in prize money that accumulated after the first game. They then explained the voting process to all of the players. Player 024 did not care about the money and decided to Vote X during the first Vote. Unfortunately for him and the other Xs, More players voted to continue the games.

Later during Six-Legged Pentathlon, Player 024 partnered up with Player 019, Player 378, An Dong-uk and Player 048. He played Jegi for his team and managed to complete all 5 minigames within the 5 minute time limit . After successfully completing Six-Legged Pentathlon, him and the other players held another vote. Player 024 changed his mind and decided to vote O instead of X along with some other players.

Later on during Mingle, He managed to partner up with other players and passed all 5 rounds. After Mingle, him and the other remaining players returned to the dormitory and have a third vote. Player 024 decided to vote O again along with many other O players. This vote ends up in a tie, meaning they would vote again in the morning. Player 024 and the other players seem disappointed and move back to their beds. After the events of the bathroom fight, him and the other Os have a headcount and figure out that they have less players compared to the Xs. Him and the other Os then decide to ambush the Xs during the night to put them ahead. When the lights finally go out, Player 024 and some other Os are seen sneaking over to Team X's side of the room. Eventually, Player 024 and the other Os charged into the bunks and start killing as many Xs as they could. He can be seen pinning Player 370 down and repeatedly stabbing her with a fork at the start of the Special Game. After the Special Game. He decided not to participate in Gi-hun's Rebellion and instead stay in the lobby with all of the other players that also decided not to join. In the next round of voting he voted O again and can be seen celebrating when they won the vote.

Later during Hide and Seek, Player 024 draws a blue ball from the gumball machine, which confirms his role as a hider. The manager later explains that him and his team would either have to survive the 30-minute timer, or find a exit door to escape the maze. Later when the guards allow them to switch teams, Player 024 tried to switch with Player 276, but Player 276 declined the offer. After the timer to switch teams ends. Player 024 enters the maze with his fellow Hiders and is given time to hide before the Seekers come after them. He then ran off into the maze and tried to find a hiding spot.

Fate

After Player 024 ran off into the maze, he was found and stabbed to death by an unknown seeker. His corpse can be seen when Seon-nyeo showed Im Jeong-dae how she found the exit door.

Trivia

• While it is unknown who killed him, his stabs point towards it being Nam-gyu and Lee Myung-gi. He is seen with 2 stab wounds on different halves of his body, something that the duo does as seen with Player 411 and Park Jae-cheol. If this is true, he most likely got cornered by the two from different sides.
• His ally is Player 048, which happens to be exactly double his number. Coincidentally, both are Team O's member and died in Hide-and-Seek.
  • Their role are polar opposite of each other: 024 is a Hider while 048 is a Seeker.
  • Not Only That, But 024 Already Killed Someone And 048 Didn't.
  • Funnily enough, His vote in the third round of voting left the O's with 48 votes.
• He is the only recurring player in season three to not vote the same vote on every vote, as he voted X before switching to O for the rest of the show.
• he is one of the players with no other actors not counting main players he is also one of the players to be in most of the games without a different actor
