Mun Jang-ho may also refer to Player 129, a man with the same name who participated in and won the 2nd Squid Game.

Mun Jang-ho (문장호 Mun Jang-ho?), also known as Player 002, was a contestant, who participated in the 33rd Squid Game. He appears in the episodes "Red Light, Green Light" and "Gganbu", and his player file is seen in "A Fair World". He is an elderly man with black hair, his skin is slightly dark with the number 002 and a green sports uniform

History[]

Mun Jang-ho was born to his father Mun Dae-hee and his unnamed mother on July 14, 1966. He did not formally attend any high school or university and worked as a marine engineer aboard a Korean merchant ship. Unfortunately, due to abuse of rights and drinking, he became unemployed on November 12, 2018 after 28 years of work.[2] He was unable to find a new job and later decided to participate in the Squid Games, becoming the first player to join.

Mun Jang-ho can be seen sleeping when Gi Hun wakes up from his bed. Mun Jang-ho survived the first game, Red Light, Green Light. After this, he could be seen agreeing with Player 066 when he confronted the guards and said that the authorities could track them using their phones. When a vote was held on whether or not to end the games, Mun Jang-ho voted to continue. However, he was seen celebrating after the termination of game and was sent home along with the rest of the players.[citation needed]

When the games resumed, Mun Jang-ho was one of many players to return. He managed to survive the second game, Sugar Honeycombs, as well as the Special Game and Tug of War (although he is not actually seen with any team).

Death[]

During Marbles, Mun Jang-ho teamed up with Player 414 and got shot in the head by a Soldier. He was the second player eliminated in Marbles, just after Player 414 who is his partner that he tried to cheat with Mun jang-ho with, taking the 38th place in the 33rd Squid Game overall.
