Kim Nam-du (김남두 Gim Nam-du?), also known as Player 444, was a contestant of the Squid Game in 2024.
History[]
Kim Nam-du was first seen in "001", Nam-du was ₩2.02 billion in debt and decided to enter the Squid Games to win money.
The first game that Nam-du played was Red Light, Green Light. He initially didn't trust Seong Gi-hun's warnings and thought he was trying to trick everyone, but when some players were killed, Nam-du realized that Gi-hun was telling the truth. Nam-du followed Seong Gi-hun's instructions and stayed behind several other players. Near the finish line, Player 165 was detected moving and was shot, his corpse fell backwards and pushed Player 384 and player 197, causing her to push Nam-du, 384 was detected moving and was shot, her corpse fell backwards and made Nam-du retreat. Then Young-hee turned to see Nam-du and Nam-du stated that it was 384 who moved, but sensors detected that he moved and the Soldier 005 shot him in the right leg to eliminate him and later take his organs.
Gi-hun encouraged the players not to give up and told them that they were almost at the finish line and then he heard Nam-du calling for help, Gi-hun sees that there are 30 seconds left and runs to help him, Nam-du gets up and Gi-hun carries him with the help of Cho Hyun-ju, the 3 players run and reach the finish line just in time.

After reaching the finish line and time running out, Gi-hun asks Nam-du if he is okay and Nam-du thanks Gi-hun and Hyun-ju for saving him, but then Kang No-eul shoots him in the head, killing him instantly.
In "Six Legs", Nam-du's corpse is seen in the secret operations room, a group of pink guards carry out an organ trafficking operation, desecrating the corpses of the eliminated players to extract their good organs and sell them, the operation presents difficulties because the organs are damaged, the players have been dead for a long time because No-eul shot them in the head or heart to kill them and the doctor could only save the eyes of one player, the doctor indicates that Nam-du was shot in the leg and later in the head.
