Jang Do-yeong after successfully completing Flying Stone in "Six Legs"

Jang Do-yeong (장도영 Jang Do-yeong?), also known as Player 198, was a player in the Squid Games in 2024.

History[]

Jang Do-yeong was ₩1.4 billion in debt when he was contacted by Squid Game staff in Itaewon Station with an opportunity to win large sums of money. Upon seeing his name and the amount of his debt in the Squid Game dormitory, he became embarrassed.

He survived Red Light, Green Light thanks to the warnings of Seong Gi-hun. Later in the dorms, he was one of the players to beg for his life as he knelt on the floor, which happened after the results of the first game were given. After Gi-hun reminded everyone of clause 3 of the consent form which could allow everyone to leave if the majority agrees, much to his and everyone else's relief. Despite that, he watched as the piggy bank filled with money, much to his amazement. He asked if they could vote again after the next game, as the Manager told them yes. He then voted to continue the games to try to make more money.

For the next game, he teamed up with four others to play Six-Legged Pentathlon. They passed ddakji with ease. The next part of the challenge, Flying Stone, involved throwing a stone to hit a target, which was shaped like a gravestone with Squid Game symbols on it. Jang Do-yeong was tasked with completing the challenge. He struggled to knock down the stone, and he even accidentally stepped on the designated white line on the one attempt where he hit the target. After many attempts, the stress caused him to lose control and pee his pants. Eventually, he managed to hit the target, but it was too late, as his team ran out of time.
