Choi Woo-seong may also refer to Player 112, the player who won the 6th Squid Game.

Choi Woo-seong (최우성 Choe U-seong?), also known as Player 006, was a contestant in the 33rd Squid Game.

History[]

Choi Woo-seong was born in Gangwon Province. He did not undergo any formal schooling on record and obtained a job selling liquor, which he held for 12 years. He ended up in heavy financial debt after making false promises to friends that he was unable to fulfill. After marrying a woman named Park Mi-hee, he had a son named Choi Dong-guk, who went on to attend college.[3]

In 2020, Choi Woo-seong chose to enter the Squid Games in order to win money. He was picked up by staff and taken to the island where the games took place, where woke up in a room with 455 other players. He signed a consent form and had his photo taken in order to enter the games.

Player 006 managed to survive the first game, Red Light, Green Light. When a vote was held to decide if the games should continue, a narrow majority of the players voted no, and Player 006 was sent home along with everyone else. He rejoined the games when they resumed and managed to pass the second game, Sugar Honeycombs, during which he chose a circle.

Death[]

Player 006 was killed during the Special Game, He was fighting the unknown player and was stabbed and thrown down the stairs, dying from head trauma.

Trivia[]

  • Choi Woo-seong shares his name with Player 112, the person who won the 6th Squid Game. It's possible, though extremely unlikely, that these two are the same person.
  • According to his player file, Choi Woo-seong's resident registration number is 760523-1347785, and he lives in Dongchun-dong, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon.[3]

Mistakes[]

  • Player 006's icon shows a woman, even though he is portrayed by a man physically and in his player file.
  • In his player file, Choi Woo-seong's wife and son were born on August 1, 1953 and November 17, 1973 but are listed as being 40 and 20 years old, respectively.
    • Furthermore, the file states that Woo-seong fell into debt on February 1, 1991, when he would have been a minor and legally unable to enter into any financial contracts. The reason for these errors are unknown.
  • Player 006 has not passed Sugar Honeycombs when the game was already over, meaning that he should've been eliminated due to time out. This is likely just a continuity error.

Behind the scenes[]

Player 006 was portrayed by an unknown extra.

Given that he looks similar to Korean actor Choi Woo-sung, it is possible that he played the role. Both Korean and English names are the same.
