The bathroom fight was a violent brawl in the men's bathroom of the Squid Game complex that took place after Mingle. It arose from a confrontation involving Lee Myung-gi, Park Min-su, Thanos and Nam-gyu.
The fight introduced the players to the fact that they could eliminate one another in order to increase the prize money won from the games, leading to the Special Game occurring that night.

Prelude[]
In the bathroom, Thanos and Nam-gyu corner Park Min-su in a stall after he voted for X, Thanos banged his head against the door multiple times, trying to force it open, right after Thanos's failed attempts, Nam-gyu climbs over the bathroom stall and asks Min-su to change his vote on the next round, Min-su tries to flee the bathroom but is stopped by Thanos, who tells a story about a time he was about to jump off a bridge, when The Recruiter gave him the card to enter the games, when Thanos backs out.
Thanos tells Min-su that the fact that he voted "X" upset him, but fortunately Lee Myung-gi arrives and protects Min-su. Myung-gi asks for help from Team X and informs them that the imbeciles of Thanos and Nam-gyu are threatening Min-su to vote for "O", Team X arrives to help and tells the pair of idiots that what they're doing is cheating. Thanos asks Team O for help, he and Nam-gyu lie that Team X wants to attack them and both teams start insulting each other. Min-su hides among Team X and Myung-gi prevents Thanos from approaching him, then Nam-gyu mentions Kim Jun-hee and mocks her for being pregnant, Myung-gi gets furious and tells the pair of jerks not to mess with her.
Thanos tells Myung-gi that if he votes "X" again, he will cut off him the finger, give it to Jun-hee and ask her to be his girlfriend. Myung-gi attempts to punch Thanos and a fight breaks out between Team X and Team O.
Fight[]
Team X and Team O start fighting, Myung-gi and Thanos face each other and Min-su flees to the Dormitory. Thanos starts beating Myung-gi, tells him that he will steal his life, his money and Jun-hee and starts to strangle him, but Myung-gi grabs his fork (from dinner) and stabs Thanos under the chin, severing his facial artery and vein and causing him a hard bleeding. Then Myung-gi stabs Thanos in the neck, severing his carotid artery and his jugular vein and Thanos falls to the ground, bleeding to death and freeing Myung-gi, Min-su, and Jun-hee from Thanos forever. Myung-gi frees himself from his attacker and crawls into a cubicle, but Thanos uses his last strength to grab him by the ankle, but Myung-gi manages to free himself, Thanos finally falls dead and Myung-gi hides in the cubicle, shocked at having killed Thanos.
The fight becomes increasingly brutal and bloody, Player 401 is killed and players beat each other to death. Nam-gyu and Player 331 face off and 331 knocks Nam-gyu down with a punch, Nam-gyu gets shocked when he sees Thanos' corpse and tries to take a drug, but 331 kicks him, Nam-gyu grabs the fork and stabs 331 to death. Player 268 is killed by Player 067 and Player 299 is thrown against a mirror and beaten to death by Player 145.
When the fight is stopped, it is announced that the eliminated players are Players 230, 268, 299, 331 and 401, resulting in the deaths of 2 players from Team X and 3 players from Team O.

In the behind the scenes, when Thanos throws Lee Myung-gi to the ground, you can see that T.O.P (Thanos' actor) put his hand under Im Si-wan's (Myung-gi's actor) head to prevent him from getting hurt.
