The 1st Squid Game was a contest that took place in 1988. Not much is known about this Squid Game in the series, but it was revealed that Noh Hyun-woo (Player 174) won the contest. It is also known that there were a signifanctly small amount of players compared to the 2020 annual Squid Game. This is known due to the fact the 2020 games took up a whole shelf in comparison to the one book the 1st Squid Game had. This can be seen in the Squid Archives book in South Korea (drama).
